The Empress now holding his face with her hands as he stared at her silently, not knowing what to expect. His face looked like as if he's resigned himself in whatever fate had for him. As she finally lifted herself Kido started to gasp for air. The boy panted heavily as if he just finished a marathon. He thought for a while that he'd passed out for real.
