Training with a surprise

Dave grabbed at Ivan's big hand when he felt the crushing grip on his throat, lifting him up before throwing him into the corner post. His back exploded with red hot pain. Even though the turnbuckles were padded, it still hurt like hell to go flying into them. After a second he slumped in the corner, hanging by the ropes as he gritted his teeth.

Ivan grined after noticing that corner turnbuckles did more damage to Dave than he expected. He was already pretty slow guy, but now was tired as well, hence the slow walk toward cornered opponet. When he would reach him, Ivan would go for a kick in Dave's head.

Dave pulled himself up, the sweat causing his Iron Man tee to cling to his body, when he noticed Ivan going for a kick to the head. Just barely, Dave ducked underneath, using the opening to swing his fist upward and crash into the big guy's lower jaw. Hoping that gave him a few seconds, he climbed up to the top rope, before jumping off and nailing him with both boots to the chest of the Russian giant.

Ivan kick and misses his target. Dave ducked to avoid hit and as consequence Ivan's leg moved straight pass him and got stuck on the middle rope. He was in very voulnarable position and as he was pulling his leg back, Dave used the opportunity to strike his jaw. It was another punch in head and Ivan still didn't fully recover from Dave's finisher.

Ivan stumbled backwards, but Dave didn't gave him any rest and land nasty drop kick in his chest. Ivan gasped after the hit and fall down on mat once again.

Dave wasted no time, going for the cover again. He hoped that the consecutive hits to the head had done their job, keeping the giant dazed enough to get the pin.

"One, Two, " he began, hoping to finish this.

Ivan layed down on canvas with his face pretty heavily beaten. He didn't want that match end up like that - with smaller guy winning the match.

"THREE!"

Dave counted to three before Ivan managed to kick out. "It was two count! It's not over yet!"

Dave rolled aside, "It's over big guy. I got to three. We're done here."

Grabbing his things from ringside, he slid out of the ring, with looks of new found respect being given from some of the wrestlers there.

John had ran out of songs on his playlist, so there was no more listening to Oasis. And he'd grown tired of weight lifting, any more and his arms would just get tired. And being the right hand man to Tension's best of Britain meant he needed to be ready just in case, moreso considering he was one half of Tension's tag team champions. Speaking of which they were going to be defending their belts soon at the upcoming PPV, and inwardly the master of creation knew his partner was going to have an intensive training plan for their second defence of the belts.

But still just because John was done working out for the day didn't mean he left right away, he'd seen the match earlier on. And after his playlist was done as well as the weight lifting Mr Carnaby sat on the weight lifting bench, resuming his watching of the nearby battle. And it had just ended too, John had to admit he was betting on the big burly Russian guy. His boss Ryan knew of a Russian who he described as a right prick, but John understood that the man known as Damus wasn't going to be showing in Kyoto anytime soon. All the better for the UK Elite.

As Dave left the ring John would give a sharp whistle, to get his attention. Giving the guy a nod of the head while saying "Nice work dude, that guy looked like a nasty piece of work." it reminded the master of creation of the time he trained with Ryan and Lucy. To see if he was up to snuff and able to hang with Britain's baby girl and the paragon of Britain.

Dave smiled at the man. He had heard of John before, as one half of Tension's Tag team champions.

"Thanks. Yeah his punches hurt like hell." he replied, extending a hand to John, "Name's Dave Blake. Nice to meet you."

Well good to know the man wasn't arrogant or anything like that, if John beat up someone bigger than him he'd probably feel a little smug. But people his height were rare around Tension considering he was 5'11 with his boss being just a bit taller than that, having the height advantage usually was good. But as David showed just because you can be big and burly it didn't mean you'd have an automatic chance of victory, it kinda reminded Mr Carnaby of his faction member Lucy. She was small, but damn if she wasn't a relentless hellion.

"Dave Blake huh? Cool, the name's John Carnaby. I'm part of the UK Elite, we're the Tension tag champs. Well me and my boss anyway, guy who's called Ryan Knight. Gotta say the way you handled that man, pretty impressive. Here's hoping I don't run into you in the ring, I'd probably just tag my partner in." John said with a smirk as he shook Dave's hand standing up and leaning against the nearby wall after that. Still the master of creation was confident he could take the man with his highly elaborate submission holds, but that would be for another time perhaps. For now best to let the guy revel in the victory a bit, the artist could recall the tremendous feeling of joy he had upon winning in the finals of the Tension tag tournament a while ago. Everyone needed that sort of moment in their lives.
